Happy Monday! It’s a holiday, and hopefully you’re enjoying the end of a long weekend. We’re open today in case you’re looking to get out of the house for a bit this afternoon (but please note, we’re hosting a small post-funeral gathering in the back room from 1-3pm), or if you plan to enjoy some quiet reading time this evening. There’s also plenty to look forward to in the days and weeks ahead.

This Week’s Event Calendar

Private Event Monday Feb. 16, 1-3pm We are scheduled to host a small post-funeral gathering in the back room beginning at 1pm. Members and visitors please prepare to use the front door during this time.

Monday is for Readers* Monday Feb. 16, 6-8pm Quiet reading with other readers in the main space from 6pm to 8pm each Monday. Book club discussion groups are welcome in the back space. Free for members, guest passes available.

LGBTQ+ Story Hour (Admission by donation) Tuesday Feb. 17, 6pm Rescheduled from last week: Rainbow Umbrella of Central VT & Rainbow Bridge Community Center present LGBTQ+ Story Hour, hosted by poet Linda Whelan Quinlan. Open to the public. Items will be available for purchase from the bar.

Barre Business Social with The Barre Partnership Wednesday Feb. 18, 6-7:30pm Join us in the main space for the first Barre Business Social of 2026! We'll be chatting about 2026 events, and any other thoughts or concerns you want to discuss.  If you have something you would like to talk about, please let Tracie know so she can facilitate the conversation and invite anyone to help with it! We hope you can stop in and spend some time with us. Please feel free to bring a colleague or fellow business owner. Snacks provided, cash bar.

Movie Night, The Dark Crystal* Wednesday Feb. 18, 6:30pm This week’s movie is the 1982 dark fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. Free for members, guest passes available. Popcorn, tea, coffee and water provided with other items available for purchase.

Private Event Friday Feb. 20, 2-4pm We are scheduled to host a corporate gathering in the back room beginning at 2pm. Members and visitors please prepare to use the front door during this time.

Private Event Saturday Feb. 21, 2-5pm We are scheduled to host a family gathering in the back room beginning at 2pm. Members and visitors please prepare to use the front door during this time.
