Join us at the Barre Social Club on October 29th for an evening of connection and seasonal magic at our Tea and Tarot gathering, hosted by Erica, tarot advisor, alchemist, and social club member.
As autumn deepens, just days before Samhain (Halloween), we honor the season’s transition with a cozy spread of light seasonal refreshments, intentionally selected wines, and a custom-blended herbal tea crafted for quiet reflection and intuition.
Bring your favorite tarot or oracle decks—or borrow one from the host—as we explore practical ways to incorporate card reading into personal study, shadow work, and reflective journaling within a warm, grounded community.
Open to all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned readers, this accessible gathering offers an inviting space to sip something warm, share easy conversation with like-minded folks, and celebrate the turning of the wheel into the darker half of the year together.

Wednesday Oct. 7, 6:30pm
Join us at 6:30pm for Tim Burton’s 1988 classic Beetlejuice, starring Alec Baldwin, Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder. Free for members, guest passes available. Popcorn, tea, coffee and water provided with other items available for purchase.
The Singer’s Room*
Thursday September 3, 6pm
“The Singer’s Room returns in October to offer curated vocal artistry in laid-back cabaret style. In an intimate setting, individual singers stretch out artistically with a live accompanist and where audiences can truly listen. Music lovers are invited to enjoy good singing in a room that’s conducive to nuance, storytelling, and connection.
The October 8th program features a diverse line-up of rotating local and regional performers: your hosts John Harrison and Maggie Fox, along with Paul Hecht, Nikki Matheson, and Julia Ostrov. Ira Friedman on keys.
Admission is $5 at the door. Beer and wine will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring in something to eat from one of Barre’s great take-aways.”

ViewMasters Film Club, Fahrenheit 451 (1966)*

Oskar Werner, Julie Christia, Cyril Cusak, Anton Diffring, Jeremy Spenser and more star in François Truffaut’s 1966 drama Fahrenheit 451. Stay to discuss the film, and to pick the next one. Popcorn, tea, coffee and water provided with other items available for purchase.

Saturday October 24: Tag Sale, 10am-2pm. If you’re like us, you probably have a few things in the attic, basement, or elsewhere you’d like to get rid of. Members and friends are welcome to join us Oct. 24 to set up a table and sell some stuff. RSVP by Oct. 10 to reserve a spot.
